Sourcing Specialist
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Procurement / Supply Chain Contract Administrator to support the ongoing administration of new and existing strategic construction project agreements. The ideal candidate will collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with contract terms, manage change orders, review invoices, coordinate procurement activities, and address legal concerns. This is a full-time, hybrid role with two office days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer contract activities, including development, negotiation, amendments, and compliance, as part of the project team.
- Partner with internal teams to define, negotiate, and establish contract terms and conditions.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to oversee day-to-day tasks and strategic execution of project contracts.
- Manage the full life cycle of contract administration for medium to large contracts, including RFIs, Change Order Requests, and invoices.
- Monitor progress of contract-related processes and communicate next steps with both internal teams and contractors.
- Coordinate the drafting, review, and negotiation of agreements and statements of work to ensure favorable commercial terms while minimizing risks.
- Advise on contract requirements, obligations, and risks, providing recommendations and solutions for contract-related issues.
- Serve as an internal resource for contract-related questions, offering expert advice on next steps and contractual obligations.
- Identify and analyze unique contractual relationships with project teams, working independently and collaboratively to resolve issues.
- Work with Project Managers and Sourcing on procurement activities, including the development of specifications, statements of work, and supplier performance metrics.
- Oversee bid administration, including RFI and RFP processes, evaluate final submissions, and facilitate final agreement negotiations.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and hold contractors accountable, guiding internal teams through contract-related processes like Notices and Change Order Requests.
- Educate and engage the project team on contract compliance and their role in project execution.
Qualifications:
- Strong background in contract administration and procurement within construction or related industries.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Experience with contract life cycle management, RFIs, RFPs, and change orders.
- Knowledge of procurement and supply chain best practices and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, driving issues to resolution in a timely manner.
