Alexander Steele Recruitment is exclusively partnering with a rapidly growing wholesaler and retailer that is looking to expand its team. We are seeking a dedicated Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their head office in Edinburgh.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the company's continued success by managing the full recruitment cycle and attracting top talent into the business. You will work closely with the Recruitment Manager to ensure a seamless hiring process, contributing to the organization's growth and long-term success.
The Role:
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and hiring the best candidates for the business. Your expertise will help shape the future workforce and contribute to building a strong talent pool for both current and future hiring needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to identify qualified candidates across job boards, social media, networking events, and referrals.
- Build and maintain a robust talent pipeline for immediate and future hiring needs.
- Review CVs and applications to assess candidate suitability.
- Conduct initial screening interviews to evaluate candidate skills, experience, and cultural fit.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements and define ideal candidate profiles.
- Provide insights and recommendations throughout the recruitment process.
- Create compelling job descriptions and post job openings across various platforms.
- Enhance the company’s employer brand through clear, engaging communication.
- Coordinate and facilitate interviews, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
- Provide feedback and guidance to candidates throughout the process.
- Negotiate and extend job offers, aligning with company policies and candidate expectations.
- Manage the pre-onboarding process to ensure smooth transitions for new hires.
- Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Generate reports to measure recruitment success, including time-to-fill and quality-of-hire metrics.
- Ensure all recruitment practices comply with employment laws and organizational policies.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in recruiting for a high-volume, multi-site business.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment tools and systems.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
